CCME boosts Doc Wynter

Doc WynterClear Channel Media and Entertainment announced an extended contract with Doc Wynter as SVP/Urban Programming and an expanded role with the company.  Wynter will continue to serve as Urban and Urban AC Brand Manager, providing his programming expertise to CCME stations.


As part of his expanded role, Wynter will join Dennis Clark’s talent development team, now coaching talent across a variety of formats.  He will continue working with key Urban Program Directors and syndicated talent like Steve Harvey, Keith Sweat and The Breakfast Club to maximize ratings in their respective markets and programs and now expand his responsibilities to key talent and stations across all formats. Wynter will also continue working with record label partners to identify opportunities to leverage Clear Channel’s platform to introduce new Hip Hop and R&B artists and music to listeners through digital and on-air assets as well as live events and create the format’s quarterly ultimate contest.

Wynter has been with Clear Channel since 1988 and is responsible for successfully launching a number of Urban stations including Power 105.1 in New York and most recently WMIB in Miami and 93.7 The Beat in Houston.
