CBS’s ‘The Big Bang Theory’ makes noise; ‘CSI: Miami’ solid 2nd place

CBS’s entire Monday lineup posted gains from last week, led by THE BIG BANG THEORY, the night’s top program in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 10.


HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.0/08, 8.10m) was second in adults 18-34 (3.0/10), tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.9/10, with FOX) and averaged a 3.4/10 in adults 18-49.  Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was up +6% in households (from 4.7/08), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 3.5/10), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09), +3% in adults 18-34 (from 2.9/10) and added +730,000 viewers (from 7.37m, +10%). 
 
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (5.1/08, 8.16m) was tied for second in adults 25-54 (3.9/10, with FOX) and averaged a 3.2/09 in adults 18-49.  Compared to last week, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT was up +11% in households (from 4.6/07), +15% in adults 25-54 (from 3.4/08), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/08) and added +950,000 viewers (from 7.21m, +13%). 
 
TWO AND A HALF MEN (8.5/13, 13.86m) was first in adults 25-54 (5.9/14), adults 18-49 (4.6/12) and adults 18-34 (3.1/09).  Compared to the last first-run episode (on April 12, 2010), TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +2% in both households (from 8.3/13) and adults 25-54 (from 5.8/14) and +7% in adults 18-34 (from 2.9/09) and added +140,000 viewers (from 13.72m, +1%). 
 
THE BIG BANG THEORY (8.2/13, 13.73m) was first in adults 25-54 (6.3/14), adults 18-49 (5.3/13) and adults 18-34 (3.7/11).  Compared to last week (at 9:00 PM), THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +17% in both households (from 7.0/11) and adults 25-54 (from 5.4/13), +15% in adults 18-49 (from 4.6/12), +9% in adults 18-34 (from 3.4/10) and added +2.10m viewers (from 11.63m, +18%).  THE BIG BANG THEORY posted the night’s best deliveries in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

CSI: MIAMI (7.1/12, 11.01m) was first in viewers, adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (3.2/09).  CSI: MIAMI was up +13% in households (from 6.3/11), +21% in adults 25-54 (from 3.4/09), +19% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/07) and added +1.39m viewers (from 9.62m, +14%) compared to last week. 
 
For the night, CBS was first in adults 18-49 (3.8/11), second in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.99m) and adults 25-54 (4.7/12).
