Audacy Inc.’s network services and content platform bearing the name of a former radio station ownership group founded by Mel Karmazin has approved a new content distribution partnership with CBS News Radio, bringing more than 700 radio stations to its ecosystem.
With the agreement, Infinity Networks now delivers programming and network services to 1,200 radio stations nationwide.
The deal also entwines Infinity, once a part of CBS, with Paramount Skydance’s CBS News Radio.
“This is a major step forward for Infinity Networks and for our partners across the industry,” said Audacy Chief Revenue Officer Bob Philips. “By bringing together a respected brand like CBS News Radio under the Infinity Networks umbrella, we’re creating a scalable platform that enhances the reach and impact of great local and national content for our advertising partners. This expansion underscores our commitment to helping broadcasters grow audiences, strengthen advertiser relationships, and deliver exceptional listening experiences everywhere.”
Launched earlier this year at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, Infinity Networks is “a dedicated syndication provider for local broadcast brands to establish a large portfolio of affiliate partnerships across the industry.” Offerings also include flagship shows “Katie & Company,” hosted by Katie Neal; and “The Rob + Holly Show,” hosted by Rob Stone and Holly Hutton.
Infinity Networks also serves as the exclusive U.S. affiliate partner of SPARC Media Hub, a content workflow product for radio stations that includes promotions, prep, text messaging, production and phone screening tools.
