Since 1998, WCBS-2 in New York has enjoyed a relationship with the American Football Conference team that plays its games at MetLife Stadium in Northern New Jersey. That partnership will continue, thanks to a multi-year extension of their agreement.
This sees CBS New York pact with the New York Jets for pre-season game broadcasts, team shoulder programming, and exclusive team content airing across the year.
Coverage begins on August 14 when the Jets host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at MetLife Stadium at 7pm.
CBS New York’s coverage continues on August 21 with an away game in Pittsburgh against the Steelers.
The pre-season coverage concludes on August 28 with a match against the Jets’ NFC stadium mates, the New York Giants.
The pre-season Jets games will feature commentary and play-by-play from Ian Eagle, Anthony Becht and Otis Livingston, with Caroline Hendershot. All preseason games will also be made available on Paramount +.
“For nearly three decades, CBS New York has been a trusted partner in helping us connect with Jets fans across the region,” said team President Hymie Elhai. “This extension builds on that longstanding relationship and allows us to deliver even more access, insight and exclusive content to our fans. From live preseason coverage to behind-the-scenes programming and new team-focused shows, we’re excited to continue bringing Jets football to fans year-round through CBS New York.”
