Yahoo! TV has gained access to CBS content its latest deal to become an online clearing house for popular video. The CBS Audience Network joins NBC, Fox and more than 15 cable networks in the Yahoo! TV programming lineup.
“This announcement underscores the value of CBS’s open, non-exclusive, multi-partnership strategy for distributing our content online,” said Anthony Soohoo, Sr. VP and GM of Entertainment, CBS Interactive.
Yahoo will host and stream CBS entertainment content free to consumers in an ad-supported environment. The new agreement expands a previous deal, under which Yahoo! News currently showcases the “60 Minutes” brand with specially-produced segments and content. The CBS Stations Group also provides locals news and sports videos to Yahoo!
