Here’s a :30 ad that ran during Big Brother 7/25 in NYC and LA. Another similar ad will air in the 7/26 episode. It begins, “Attention Time Warner Cable Customers. What’s worse than being evicted from the Big Brother House? How about Time Warner Cable evicting Big Brother and all of your favorite CBS shows from your house?”
It goes on to provide TWC’s 800-number and asks subscribers to call and make their voice heard in support of CBS programming.
Meanwhile, TWC and CBS extended their carriage through 7/29 (prior deadline was 9am 7/25) as they work on details of a new retransmission agreement. It’s getting messy–midnight 7/25, TWC lost carriage of six Journal Communications’ stations, (NBC/MNT in Green Bay; NBC in Milwaukee; CBS in Omaha; and NBC and MNT in Palm Springs) after having failed to reach a retransmission deal.
