The CBS Marketing Group and 1-800-Flowers.com announced an initiative to create "Ex Day"–a brand new holiday on October 16–designed to "let love bloom again" and bring new life to past relationships through a special "Ex Day" bouquet. Inspired by the new CBS series The Ex List, the bouquets give those who long for the good old days with an ex an easy and fun way to reconnect with a past romantic interest.

Crafted from fresh carnations, Gerbera daisies, Asiatic lilies, daisy poms and button poms, the aromatic arrangement says, "How have you been?" in muted green and white hues.  The bouquets are available through 1-800-Flowers.com and its network of professional BloomNet florists nationwide.

"Some people may yearn to get back in touch with ‘the One’ who got away, while others are just looking to re-establish a friendship with someone who once played a significant role in their lives," says Jim McCann, CEO and founder of 1-800-Flowers.com.  "Ex Day creates the ideal platform for consumers to get in touch with a special someone from the past and in an appropriate and meaningful way."

"The Ex Bouquet is a fun way to extend an olive branch in the form of flowers to a special someone from the past," said Anne O’Grady, EVP/CBS Marketing. "This promotion is designed to help people reconnect and rekindle their relationships, while bringing added exposure to The Ex List."
