ABC will participate in Nielsen’s trial of new technology that will measure the mobile-TV viewing audience. It’s a foray that will to expand the Nielsen Online Campaign Ratings solution to mobile. Currently, Nielsen Online Campaign Ratings measures the audience of digital advertising. Incorporating mobile apps will significantly extend the solution’s coverage footprint, which currently includes computer and tablet browsers.

Aereo sets launch for Atlanta

Subscribers, like in NYC and Boston, will be able to access free OTA channels with a cloud-based DVR via supported mobile devices. Beginning 6/17, consumers who have pre-registered with Aereo will receive a special invitation to join and be one of the first to experience Aereo's technology. After 6/24, Aereo will make membership available to all eligible consumers across the Atlanta DMA, which includes more than 5.3 million consumers in 55 counties across Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina.
Plum TV shutting down?
