SiriusXM’s Q1 showed revenue of $998 million, up 11% from first quarter 2013 revenue of $897 million. EPS was $0.02 in both the first quarter of 2014 and 2013. Net income of $94 million, adjusted for a non-recurring item associated with accounting for the Liberty Media stock repurchase agreement and purchase price accounting adjustments from the Sirius and XM merger, net of taxes, resulted in an adjusted net income of $121 million, a 46% increase over $83 million in last year's Q1.

XAPPmedia raises $3 million
XAPPmedia, provider of the first interactive audio advertising service, has raised $3 million in seed funding, fully subscribed by private investors. This funding round will support the development, launch and wider deployment of the XAPPmedia advertising platform, XAPP Ads. Since XAPPmedia’s initial announcement in late March, the company has successfully launched the interactive audio advertising service with National Public Radio (NPR) and will expand the service to several other publishers throughout 2014.
