WFDF-AM’s days as a Radio Disney station are over.

Leighton Enterprises, Inc. has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the radio stations of Paradis Broadcasting of Alexandria, Inc. Paradis is recognized locally as being the Voice of Alexandria and consists of three radio stations serving West Central Minnesota.

A Class A FM at 98.7 MHz in a rural area of the Lone Star State northwest of Lufkin and southwest of Nacogdoches is poised to head to a new owner. And, that licensee will operate the presently silent facility as a noncommercial religious property. 

With 99 watts of power from atop the famed Sutro Tower, this FM translator emits enough of a signal to cover all of the city of San Francisco, lower Marin County and East Bay communities including Richmond and Berkeley, Calif. Now, its use as an outlet targeting Asians has been solidified thanks to a newly consummated transaction.

The sole owner of a small group of radio stations in the Volunteer State has died. This has led to a filing with the FCC seeking its approval of the transfer of the properties' licenses to the executor of the late owner's estate.

Donald B. Crawford’s WMUZ Radio is going from two St. Louis AM stations to one in the St. Louis market, spinning the stronger of the two – KJSL-AM – to Lowell Davey’s noncommercial Bible Broadcasting Network. Crawford is hanging on to KSTL-AM.
