The Lakeland-Winter Haven-Auburndale area of Central Florida continues to grow, and given its locale between Tampa and Orlando, there are few local media choices. Among them are AM radio stations licensed to WALCO Enterprises. Add another property to that kHz-band mix of properties in Waller's stable.

Hall Says Goodbye To Central PA

On July 14, RBR+TVBR reported on the sale of WROZ-FM “Fun 101.3” by Hall Communications. It turns out Hall wasn't done with divestments in central Pennsylvania. Hall on Friday submitted to the FCC an asset sale agreement that confirms it is exiting the Harrisburg, Lancaster, and York, Pa., region. The seller's broker: Kalil & Co.

Adios, Amigo … An Arizona AM Trades Hands

Its Class B signal covers all of the Phoenix market during daylight hours, and even at night it reaches most of the Valley of the Sun. In recent years, it has served the Spanish-speaking community largely concentrated in central Phoenix and the west side of the valley. Now, this AM is trading hands, and is being sold by Amigo Multimedia.

MeTV Owner Buys Former NYC-area Affiliate

From Jan. 4, 2012 until fall 2015, it was the home of MeTV for the New York Tri-State area. The affiliation was dropped in favor of a new facility licensed to a town in New Jersey with coverage of the whole market. Now, MeTV is poised to return to a Bridgeport, Conn.-based digital UHF, as MeTV's owner is buying the station.
