The FCC on Monday and today was open for business -- and the submission of Form 345 and Form 314 asset purchase agreements. There were no such latter filings, with today's tale totally focused on an FM translator.

An AM/FM combo and an FM translator located along Utah's Wasatch Front are being dealt to a new owner. With the sale, the stations are now on the path to returning to the airwaves.

"Jesus Is Just Alright" and the Doors' "The End" could make for a perfect transition to what's about to land on this station's signal. A sale to the No. 2 licensee of radio stations in the U.S. has been consummated, and we're first with the story!

More than nine months ago, a journalist who heads a U.S.-based television network targeting South Asian consumers acquired an Otter. Really. That deal involved a low-power television facility in Northern California that used the Otter name for its branding, prior to its sale. Now, the same buyer is grabbing an LD facility in a market home to a plethora of theme parks.

The wife of a popular TV meteorologist in the New York recently signed off on a deal that gave her newly formed entity control of a Class A FM serving Suffolk County, N.Y.'s eastern end. That deal has now closed, along with another station trade, in Ohio.

Just to the west of Nashville is the town of White Bluff, Tenn. It is here where an AM radio station with an FM translator has gained a new owner. Meanwhile, there's a station in Lima that's changing hands. We're not talking about Peru ... or Ohio. 

A series of closings have transpired that give this company ownership of stations in Idaho and Arizona. Two of the closings involve necessary spins in the Grand Canyon State to get the deal, brokered by Kalil & Co., done.

Mark Dec. 12, 2018 as yet another day without a fresh transaction to report. There were no Form 314 or Form 345 filings at the Commission, so we've turned our attention to a series of Special Temporary Authority requests.

A Daytona Beach, Fla. radio station owner is agreeing to sell its Class A Classic Hits station to an operation with a presence on the Florida Panhandle. Meanwhile, on the Gulf Coast, a licensee with a non-commercial Oldies station in Northwest Pa. has closed on its purchase of a similarly formatted operation.

How tepid is the transaction scene as 2018 limps toward a most-unexciting conclusion? Two Form 345 FM translator applications were filed at the FCC on Monday. One involves a license transfer into a trust controlled by the widow of an operator who died in 2013. The other involves a deal valued at one U.S. dollar.

The Texas city of Del Rio, a home to 40,500, is known in radio lore for being home to a cross-border "blaster" with 250kw of power that in the early 1960s featured Wolfman Jack. It is here, in Del Rio, where an AM/FM combo is being sold.

Stop the presses: A company best-known for its four radio stations along the Jersey Shore has just landed a low-powered television station in the Big Apple. It will be paired with a full-power facility in NYC.

An attorney in Scottsdale, Ariz., who grew up in Michigan, has always wanted to own a radio station. His dream has just become a reality, as he is ready to file a Form 314 with the FCC reflecting his purchase of a radio station in Central New York.

A broadcast industry figure also known as the founder of now-defunct West Coast electronics retailer Good Guys has elected to sell an FM translator in the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. The buyer is a "selective, private liberal arts and sciences college," founded in 1860 by Swedish settlers.
