The NBC affiliate serving the popular outdoor enthusiast mecca of Bend, Ore., which offers The CW+ as a digital subchannel, has selected a new News Director. It's the woman who became the anchor of its Sunrise morning news program earlier this year and was previously associated with TEGNA's NBC affiliate in Portland.

New York Festivals TV & Film Awards has a new member of its 2023 TV & Film Advisory Board. "As an award-winning director he brings his wide-ranging creative expertise to the 16-member panel of storytellers and industry executives,” the organization's VP/Executive Director says.

Three individuals who presently report to the EVP/Affiliate Sales for iHeartMedia-owned Premiere Networks have each earned a promotion, getting the title of VP/Affiliate Sales.

Today, he's firmly ensconced at Premiere Networks and has earned a promotion in which he will continue to oversee its sports programming and content, including FOX Sports Radio.

Before joining Hearst Television in 2006, he was the corporate director of engineering technology at Emmis Communications, responsible for researching and pinpointing technology for the company’s 16 television and 25 radio stations, among other duties. Now, some 16 years after joining Hearst, he's rising to the role of Broadcast Technology VP.

On Friday, he was recovering from a vehicular incident that occurred while driving home from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area AM Talk radio station following his Thursday shift. While the injuries are serious, "he will recover."

Sinclair Broadcast Group has elevated its SVP/Chief Development Officer, who also serves as CFO and COO of its Diamond Sports Group subsidiary, to the role of EVP/Corporate Development and Strategy.

The parent of the Bally Sports regional sports networks (RSNs) has its challenges. Now, overcoming them will be placed in the hands of a 25-year sports marketing veteran who was most recently President of NBC Sports Regional Networks and EVP/Content Strategy for NBC Sports Group.

The E.W. Scripps Co. has tapped two veteran journalists to join the Scripps News leadership team. The announcement comes one month ahead of the demise of Newsy, which will be rebranded as part of a consolidation move combining Scripps' Local Media national desk, formerly in Omaha, with its D.C. There's a new Executive Vice President of Current Programs for both CBS Entertainment and CBS Studios. It's a new role, in which this individual will oversee current primetime and daytime programming on the network and for the studio.

Until late 2015, it owned radio and television stations. Today, Schurz is focused on regional broadband companies, through which cable TV services are offered. Now, it has appointed a new President/CEO, effective Feb. 1, 2023. He's replacing Todd Schurz, who has been in the role for 15 years.

He is a two-time Emmy Award winner in the Outstanding Technical Team Remote category, for his work on the 1998 Summer X Games and the 2002 Winter Olympics. Now, he's rising to the role of co-Regional Director for Engineering at Hearst Television as Joe Balkan is retiring.
