Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group (AMG) has selected its new VP of Advertising Sales and Client Partnerships. She's charged with the highly focused role of representing all platforms associated with its African American-targeted brand theGrio.

As of August 16, Apollo Global Management-controlled Cox Media Group will have a new EVP/General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.  He reports to CMG President/CEO Dan York and will depart his role as a Partner in the Technology Transactions and M&A practice groups at a globally recognized law firm.

The owner and operator of Pittsburgh's NPR Member station and its long-running Adult Alternative noncomm has appointed a Director of Technology. He'll be charged with leading the IT and engineering staff at the organization.

Effective immediately, she's the new Station Manager of Chattanooga’s NBC affiliate. In early 2022, she'll further climb the latter of this Sarkes Tarzian station, taking the position of General Manager.

Stephanie McNamara Bitis on Friday was sentenced to 15 months in a federal prison facility and has been ordered to pay $302,585.01 in restitution for using a credit card associated with her former role at Long Island Radio Broadcasting in order to pay for various personal expenses. They include expenses tied to a boat and for a trip to the Caribbean.

Last week, veteran conservative Talk radio host Larry Elder revealed that he seeks to become a Republican candidate for California governor. He is not on the preliminary list of 41 candidates, however. Sacramento has a reason. Elder isn't buying it, and has sued California's office of the secretary of state.

The individual who will direct the marketing strategies for each of the business units within FOX Entertainment, including the FOX broadcast TV network and free AVOD platform Tubi has been selected. It's the man who presently serves as EVP of Marketing for FOX Entertainment.
