Buzzards Circle Around Buckeye State Combo

An AM/FM combo, along with an FM translator, serving a small Ohio municipality is being spun.

That could explain the buzzards flying around the building, if you will.

Buzzards Media LLC is agreeing to acquire WCSM-AM & FM and FM translator W262DC in Celina, Ohio.

The seller is Hayco Broadcasting Inc., which is set to earn $1.3 million from the deal.

FCC Licenses and Station Agreements: $ 400,000.00
Intellectual Property: $ 300,000.00
Equipment: $ 225,000.00
Goodwill: $ 375,000.00
TOTAL: $ 1,300,000.00

A $7,500 deposit has been made. At closing, a $65,000 cash payment is to be consummated. Then, $225,000 in proceeds from an equipment loan from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development via the Mercer County, Ohio, Economic Development Loan Program will be made by the buyer to the seller.

The remaining $1.01 million will be represented through a secured promissory note, with personal guarantees and pledges from Buzzards principals Danielle and Brent Selhorst.

Hayco is led by John Coe.

Class D WCSM-AM 1350 and W262DC at 100.3 MHz air a Country format. Class A WCSM-FM is an Adult Contemporary station.

The stations serve a rural area to the far northwest of Dayton, Ohio, and to the west of Lima, Ohio.
