Amador Bustos is slowly acquiring more and more radio stations, as the veteran Spanish-language radio operator swiftly reestablishes himself as the Pacific Northwest’s Hispanic media leader. Now, in a deal crafted in mid-May but not filed with the FCC until June 14, he’s adding two FMs and an AM in Washington’s Wine Country.
In a transaction valued at $800,000, Bustos’ Bustos Media Holdings is acquiring the following properties from Casa Media Partners:
- Class C3 KLES-FM 101.7 in Prosser, Wash.
- Class D KZXR-AM 1310 in Prosser, Wash.
- Class C2 KMNA-FM 98.7 in Mabton, Wash.
The agreement is being arranged as part of a bankruptcy proceeding on the part of Casa Media Partners’ Debtor in Possession, and signed off by Casa CFO Juan Salvador Gonzalez.
An escrow deposit of $40,000 has been made by Bustos Media.
If the collections during the 30 days period starting on the 39th day before closing and ending on the 10th day before closing are at least $500 lower than the collections during the 30 days period starting on the 69th day before closing and ending on the 40th day before closing, Bustos is entitled to a $25,000 price reduction.
There is no broker in this transaction. David Tillotson, Esq., served as the legal counsel for the seller. Acting as Bustos Media’s legal counsel is Dennis J. Kelly, Esq.
