Bubba The Love Sponge is now less of a factor in branding for Beasley’s WBRN(FM), Tampa.
The station slogan is now “98.7 No Rules Rock.” It had been “Bubba 98.7.”
The morning show host is being sued for $1M by Nielsen for alleged PPM ratings tampering and the audience research firm de-listed the station from the Tampa PPM ratings for two consecutive months.
The Bubba archive remains on the site, which is still bubba987.com.
