A silent and licensed FM radio station serving Forsyth, Ga., is in the process of being handed to a new owner, thanks to an asset purchase agreement that’s just been submitted to the FCC for regulatory approval.
WBIB-FM 89.1, which went silent under special temporary authority in late April, has been acquired by Bemiss Road Baptist Church from Believers In Broadcasting Inc.
The station serves a community to the northwest of Macon, Ga., and comes with a $12,500 sale price.
For the buyer, WBIB will be paired with Class D daytimer WZYN-AM 810 in Hahira, Ga., “The Voice of Zion” as it is known to local listeners.
