The Broadcasters Foundation of America has established a memorial fund to honor the late Frank Boyle.

The respected broadcaster and media broker passed away Tuesday at the age of 96.

Boyle, whose early career involved a leadership role at WJR-AM in Detroit and was punctuated by roles at Eastman Radio and as the head of his own brokerage, is believed to be the only non-air talent and non-network executive or station group owner to be selected for two significant industry awards — Boyle was inducted in the Hall of Fame of Broadcasting in 2006, and awarded the Giants of Broadcasting honor in October 2021.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America provides financial aid to broadcasters who have lost their livelihood through a catastrophic event, debilitating disease, or unforeseen tragedy.

Personal donations can be made to the Foundation’s Guardian Fund. Corporate contributions are accepted through the Angel Initiative, and bequests can be made through the Foundation’s Legacy Society.
