The Dow was up in the low triple digits at one point in the day, but closed with a 47 point loss – enough, however, to bring September trading to a close with a 7.7% uptick. Broadcasters as a group barely moved, with radio slightly up and TV slightly down..

The TVBR Television Index fell 0.452, or 0.2%, 189.727.
