Since 2020, she has served as Special Projects Executive Producer for the FOX Television Stations-owned station serving the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Sarasota-Lakeland-Sebring DMA.
Now, she’s VP and News Director for “FOX 13.”
Getting the promotion at WTVT-TV in Tampa is Cheryl Briske. She reports directly to Sr. VP/Regional General Manager Jeff Maloney, who oversees Orlando, Tampa and Gainesville-Ocala for Fox.
Briske settles in to her new role on Monday (2/10) and she’ll oversee all the editorial, business, and administration functions for the station.
“Cheryl has been a valuable contributor to our ongoing evolution in local news, both in its creation and delivery,” Maloney said of Briske. “She is driven and embodies the spirit of helping others achieve a high caliber of work. With her deep understanding of the Tampa Bay market and unique ability to connect with our viewers, she is the perfect fit for this role.”
Briske has been with WTVT FOX 13 since 1997 and has been the station’s Dayside Executive Producer, Producer, and Weekend Writer.
