After earning a reputation at Pivotal Research, Brian Wieser hung a shingle outside of his Portland, Ore., home and established Madison and Wall as a strategic advisory and data provider for the global advertising industry. Now, he’s expanding his leadership team by bringing on an eight-year veteran of one of Canada’s biggest — and most challenged — broadcast media companies.
As of today, Greg McLelland will serve under Wieser as Madison and Wall’s GM Canada and CRO Advisory Practice Lead.
McLelland has more than three decades of experience in senior leadership roles focused on technology, digital and video-related advertising. Most notably, he was Chief Revenue Officer at Toronto-headquartered Corus Entertainment, owner of radio stations including Q107 and The Edge in the nation’s top market and the Global TV network.
Commenting on his arrival, Wieser said, “We’re incredibly excited that Greg is joining us. After many years of interacting with him in Canada, the United States, the U.K. where I and others found him to be one of the industry’s leading practitioners helping to move the advertising business forward, it’s thrilling to have him helping to take Madison and Wall to the next level. His understanding of the importance of our data and insights in decision-making and operations at the highest levels of billion-plus-dollar advertising businesses helps make sure our clients will be better served than ever.”
McLelland commented, “Joining Madison and Wall gives me an amazing platform to help other senior executives in the advertising industry use better business data and insights to drive better business outcomes and build smarter and more engaged client teams.”
McLelland will continue his outside work with Canadian talent and brands as a consultant.
