The head of Nielsen Audio, Brad Kelly, will leave the company as part of a broader executive shake-up there.

While RBR+TVBR’s requests for comment and calls to Kelly were unreturned by 5pm Pacific on Monday, Radio Ink has confirmed that Kelly — one of the radio industry’s biggest audience measurement thought leaders — is exiting.

The departure comes less than three months after investment management firm Evergreen Coast Capital Corporation closed on its purchase of the audience measurement company, taking Nielsen private.

Kelly, who was among Radio Ink‘s 40 most-powerful people in radio for several years, has worked for Nielsen since 2007 and was an executive at radio measurement firm Arbitron from 1998 to 2007.

A spokesperson for Nielsen has not yet returned a request for comment to any Streamline Publishing news publication.

is Kelly’s exit a part of a bigger reduction in force? Axios on November 15 reported that Linda Zukauckas, CFO at Nielsen, would be leaving after arriving in April. It cited an internal memo.

On December 2, one industry trade publication added that chief product officer Eric Bosco, chief human resources officer Laurie Lovett and chief growth officer Sean Cohen were also leaving, as were Mainak Mazumdar, the chief data and research officer at Nielsen, and chief commercial officer Peter Bradbury.

Nielsen had not formally commented on any of these reports.
