The Acting Chief of Staff and Legal Advisor for media and consumer protection issues for Democratic FCC Commissioner Geoffrey Starks is leaving for a role at the White House.

It’s just one of several changes to Starks’ team seen this week at the Commission.

The first move sees the arrival at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy of Austin Bonner, who has already departed Commissioner Starks’s office.

Starks called Bonner “a brilliant and dedicated public servant,” adding, :Her contributions to my office and our efforts to improve digital equity will continue to have an impact long after she leaves. The White House is lucky to have her, and she will be deeply
missed.”

Bonner joined Starks’ office in November 2019 and was formerly an attorney at Harris Wiltshire & Grannis. Before that, she was an attorney at Hogan Lovells.

Justin Faulb, Commissioner Starks’s Wireline and National Security Advisor,
will serve as Chief of Staff.
