Do you listen to the nationally syndicated offering The Bobby Bones Show, heard on iHeartMedia Country stations across the U.S.?

You’ll be pleased to know that the program will be sticking around a little bit longer, as the host who first emerged as a Top 40 DJ in Little Rock has reupped with the nation’s No. 1 owner of radio stations.

Officially, iHeartMedia has “renewed its relationship” with Bones, whose legal name is Bobby Estell. He’ll continue to serve as VP/Creative Director of iHeartCountry as well as the host of The Bobby Bones Show and the weekly Country Top 30 with Bobby Bones.

Today, Bones is based at iHeartRadio’s WSIX-FM in Nashville. He located to Music City USA from Austin, where he rose to fame first at KHFI “96.7 KISS FM.” In 2012, under Clear Channel Radio ownership, Bones was given a new career chapter — hosting a Top 40-style morning program for Country radio.

The formula has proven successful, and led iHeartMedia to launch new Country stations in markets including Dayton, Ohio, in an effort to clear The Bobby Bones Show. Additionally, HD multicast stations in markets including Miami brought the program to areas where it was not previously heard.

“This year marks a career milestone of 10 years of The Bobby Bones Show in Nashville,” Bones said. “I’m proud of what we’ve built over the last decade and I’m looking forward to extending this partnership and having continued success together.”

Bones in 2002 joined KQAR “Q100” in Little Rock, after a stint at KLAZ in Hot Springs, Ark. He’d later work at KLAL-FM in Little Rock before moving to Austin.

“Country music continues to be an enormously popular force in radio for listeners, and we’re thrilled to extend our relationship with one of the top personalities in the genre,” Bob Pittman, Chairman/CEO of iHeartMedia, shared. “Bobby brings a captivating blend of talent, knowledge, humor and relatability that makes him one of the best voices on air, driving incredible results for our advertising and partners. We’re proud to partner with Bobby to create even more unforgettable opportunities for our loyal and growing Country music audience.”
