As RBR+TVBR first reported last week, Frank Biancuzzo, who since 2021 has served as President of Hearst Media Production Group (HMPG), will retire from the company at mid-year 2026. Who will be taking the role once he departs is now known.

Starting July 1, HMPG Executive VP/GM of E/I Programming Bryan Curb will take the post of President.

HMPG, a business unit of Hearst Television, is an independent producer and distributor of original programming; it was established in 2021 following the completion of Hearst’s acquisition of Litton Entertainment.

“Bryan has nurtured and grown the success of HMPG’s educational and informational programming for more than a decade,” said Hearst Television head Michael J. Hayes. “His deep understanding of the evolving independent production marketplace, accomplishments across the network programming landscape, and familiarity with Hearst Television make him uniquely qualified to carry forward the foundation Frank built.”

Curb was appointed to his current role in 2022 after serving as Chief Creative Officer for Litton Entertainment. He is the founder and CEO of MTO Productions, where he was before joining Litton in 2018.

Bryan Curb began his career as a director and editor with credits on more than 100 episodes of television, as well as national commercials and series main titles.
