NAB / National Association of BroadcastersPost-Newsweek Stations President and CEO Emily Barr has been appointed to fill the seat on NAB’s Television Board formerly held by Alan Frank. She will serve as the Board’s ABC affiliate representative.

Her group operates two ABC affiliates and she formerly ran on of ABC’s biggest O&Os.

Post-Newsweek, a subsidiary of The Washington Post Company, owns ABC affiliates WPLG-TV in Miami and KSAT-TV in San Antonio, and stations in four other DMAs.

Prior to taking her current post last year, Barr was the President/GM of ABC O&O WLS-TV Chicago, going back to 1997. And her ABC roots go even deeper, to an earlier stint as President/GM at another ABC O&O, WTVD-TV Raleigh-Durham NC.
