She’s been an integral part of the newsroom in Madison, Wisc., that serves the state capital with local news and information to go alongside its ABC network programming since becoming a morning executive producer, anchor and reporter in August 2014.

Now, she’s the Regional News Director overseeing that Allen Media Group property as well as three other stations in Wisconsin.

Earning the promotion is Caroline Bach, putting her in the lead newsroom role for WKOW-27 — the hub for AMG’s ABC affiliates in the state, which also include WXOW-TV in La Crosse; WQOW-TV in Eau Claire; and WAOW-TV in Wausau.

“Local news matters,” says Bach. “People need to know first and foremost what is going on in their communities to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. The landscape of media is changing, but my goal for our newsrooms is to never let that stop us from keeping people informed, fighting for the truth and telling people’s stories.”

Bach rose to Dayside Producer and Anchor in January 2020 and, in July 2021, to Asst. News Director/Content Manager. While in that role, she also completed her MBA through the University of Wisconsin’s MBA Consortium.

Before joining WKOW, Bach served as a reporter/anchor for WVVA-TV in Beckley, W. Va. Her earliest experiences came as an intern at WTOL-11 in Toledo, in summer 2011. That fall, Bach served as a news production intern on NBC’s Deadline in New York.
