AWM names interim CEO

AWM / Alliance for Women In MediaThe Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) welcomed Sylvia Strobel, JD, MBA, as Interim CEO. A long-time supporter and past Chair of the organization, Strobel will oversee day to day operations as well as facilitate the Board’s strategic planning while the search for a new CEO is conducted. After serving as AWM President since 2010, Erin Fuller has been named President of Coulter, AWM’s professional services firm. The search for a permanent CEO is being conducted by Coulter.  Interested candidates should send their resume and cover letter to: [email protected].

Sylvia Strobel, senior partner in the entertainment law firm Lehmann Strobel PLC, served as an attorney and business advisor to the entertainment community for over twenty years.  Most recently she served as Executive Director of the Alliance for Community Media. Strobel previously served as President and General Manager of The Pennsylvania Public Television Network.   She served on the AWM national board of directors for ten years, and represented the organization on the FCC’s Advisory Committee for Diversity in a Digital Age. She is also a member of the Radio and Television Digital News Association and the National Press Club.
