ATSC 3.0’s Top Proponents Chime In On Fifth FNPRM

As RBR+TVBR first reported early Tuesday, the FCC will not move forward with a firm end date for ATSC 1.0 digital broadcast service, allowing stations to decide for themselves when is the right time to end the current way viewers get over-the-air signals.


That, along with other information shared in a “FCC Fact Sheet” on a “Fifth Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking” outlining what Commissioners plan to vote on come October 28, brought reaction from both the Advanced Television Systems Committee and NEXTGEN TV marketing arm Pearl TV.
