LAS VEGAS — With the 2023 NAB Show’s meetings and panel discussions now concluded and the expo floor winding down, broadcast radio and television leaders gathered at the Wynn Las Vegas to salute six recipients of the Broadcasters Foundation of America Leadership Awards and celebrate this year’s Excellence in Broadcasting Award and Chairman’s Award honorees.

Among those receiving BFOA Leadership Awards this year: Radio Ink and Radio + Television Business Report President/Publisher Deborah Parenti; broadcast sales training and development pioneer Jim Doyle; TVB President/CEO Steve Lanzano; Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution President of Networks Debra OConnell; Beasley Media Group Chief Communications Officer Heidi Raphael; and (posthumously) Talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh, whose honor was accepted by Premiere Networks President Julie Talbott.

The Excellence in Broadcasting Award was given to Dan Mason, the former longtime CBS Radio executive. The Chairman’s Award was presented to the widow and son of the late Jim Thompson.
