The Executive Director of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association has announced that he will retire from the state broadcasters’ group following the ABA’s annual convention in mid-September. Taking his role is the woman who presently serves as Membership Director.
Earning the promotion is Leigh Ann Brannon, and she’ll succeed Neal Gladner upon his departure. Brannon has been “an integral part” of the ABA’s growth for nearly three years.
Brannon’s experience is largely steeped in associations and non-profit organizations, and from March 2017-March 2020 served as an account outreach lead for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (now known as Blood Cancer United). She began her career at Comcast in Little Rock as an account executive and from May 1999-November 2000 was a sales representative for KTHV-11 in Little Rock.
Brannon reports to ABA President Kristen Speer, who calls Brannon “a leader in her current role” who has “a tremendous knowledge base about our Association and is very deserving.”
Brannon said, “I look forward to advocating for Arkansas broadcasters, building and strengthening connections across our industry, and creating opportunities for members to network, collaborate and grow. Broadcasters are a very important community and resource in our state, and I’m eager to move forward together as we continue building a strong future for broadcasting in Arkansas.”
Brannon was selected after the association conducted a nationwide search.
