Are American Consumers Tuning Out The News?

When it comes to live and local broadcast TV, local news has repeatedly been cited as a key magnetizer. Stations are adding newscasts to their daily programming schedules, both locally produced and nationally distributed, such as Sinclair Broadcast Group’s “The National Desk.”


Yet, a newly released study fromĀ Pew Research CenterĀ finds that Americans “are following the news less closely than they were a few years ago.”
