A 250-watt FM translator serving a portion of rural Wayne County, Ga., is being sold by NIA Broadcasting, the licensee led by Neal Ardman.

The proposed buyer is an entity one-third owned by Bill Shanks, who has teamed with two others that have created Road Trip LLC to take on the other two-thirds of the ownership pie.

Shanks Broadcasting, with Road Trip LLC’s Howard Hollerman and Gay McMichael the controlling interest holders, is agreeing to purchase W279AR in Jesup, Ga., a small city within the Savannah DMA.

A $20,000 purchase price has been agreed upon; a 10% deposit has been made to NIA and is being held by Guest Technology LLC.

John C. Trent served as the legal representative in this transaction.
