At the FCC’s July Open Meeting, Media Bureau Docket No. 22-239 — a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that will help select the Commission’s successor resource used to determine a television station’s local market for carriage purposes — moved forward.


The NPRM is the result of a phased-out report, the Nielsen Station Index Directory. 

What do America’s Public Television Stations (APTS) and PBS believe the FCC should do in selecting a successor source? The groups shared their thoughts in reply comments filed with the FCC this week.
