ARCATA, CALIF. — A television broadcasting company all-too familiar with waging war against cable companies over retransmission fees has raised its battle flag in a challenge that has led Charter Communications to yank 11 stations in areas such as Syracuse and Spokane.
The dispute caused a furor in three other markets where this company owns the local NBC affiliate, sending some viewers scrambling to figure out how to watch Super Bowl LII and a highly-anticipated episode of This Is Us.
