Another TV/Cable Exec Takes Flight To Twitter

After last month’s announcement that Linda Yaccarino would be leaving NBCUniversal to become Twitter‘s CEO, the social media platform has nabbed another of the company’s executives.

As of Monday morning, Joe Benarroch, who had been EVP of Communications for NBCUniversal, made the move to Twitter.

In a Sunday email to RBR+TVBR, Benarroch said, “Tomorrow, I start a different professional adventure at Twitter, taking on a role focusing on business operations. It’s been an absolute honor being at NBCUniversal, where I’ve been able to work with Linda and our leadership team – to champion and scale our business priorities, create meaningful advocacy, and help build incredible partnerships across this entire industry.”

Yaccarino celebrated the move by tweeting, “Welcome to the flock, @benarroch_joe! From one bird to the next. Let’s get to work @Twitter! #timetofly”

As Benarroch joins the team, more executives are fleeing the platform. Twitter’s head of trust and safety, Ella Irwin, recently announced her resignation, and the head of brand safety and ad quality, A.J. Brown, has also decided to leave the company.

Whether more of NBCUniversal’s leaders will also make the transition remains to be seen.
