In December 2024, RBR+TVBR first shared the news that Forever Media, the Lynn Deppen-led radio station owner, was spinning a Lancaster, Pa., FM translator to the operator behind Word FM, a Christian-themed noncommercial entity.
Now, a second deal has been struck between the two parties.
Word FM parent Four Rivers Community Broadcasting Corp. is agreeing to purchase WRKY-AM in Lancaster, Pa., from Forever.
This could serve as an all-important programming originator for W223CH at 92.5 MHz in Lancaster, Pa., the property Four Rivers agreed to buy late last year from Forever.
A small $15,000 has been applied to this deal. Griffin Media Partners is the broker, just as it was in the W223CH transaction. Beth Griffin represented the seller.
