Deal-1A noncommercial station serving an unrated portion of New Mexico is changing hands. And although there is no cash involved in the exchange, there is a dollar amount attached to the deal.

The station is KPER-FM Eunice NM.

The seller is Fivestar Media Corporation, headed by President Tracy Alderson Fort.

The buyer is New Mexico College Foundation, headed by President Scott K. Smith.

This is a donation from one noncom to another. The value of the station is set at $135,024 for tax purposes. The valuation came from Fivestar, and NMCF is free to hire its own appraiser if it desires for a second opinion.

KPER-FM is a Class C2 on 100.9 MHz with 50 kW @ 364.

The station is located in the extreme southeast corner of New Mexico. The nearest rated territory is the Odessa-Midland market across the Texas state line to the station’s southeast.
