On Wednesday TRANSACTIONS TODAY reported on the sale of a southern Georgia “Peach,” a Class C3 facility offering “Super Hits of the ’60s and ’70s.”
The buyer, it seems, wasn’t done with making its purchases. This time, it is heading to Missouri to consummate a deal.
In a deal filed with the FCC on Thursday (6/21), Radio Training Network is agreeing to purchase KCKJ-FM 89.5 in Sarcoxie, Mo., from Lake Area Educational Broadcasting Foundation.
The noncomm has a CP for a 50kw Class C2 signal covering an area of Missouri between Joplin and Springfield, to the east.
The purchase price is $135,000, and a $15,000 escrow deposit has been paid to LAEBF.
There is no broker in this transaction.
This transaction follows the sale of WPHH-FM 93.5 “The Peach” to RTN for $450,000, from Brantley Broadcast Associates.
The broker in that transaction is Mark Jorgenson.
Radio Training Network is dedicated to Christian-based radio programming and is based in Lakeland, Fla.
