An FM Translator Deal Is Killed. So Was The Station

0

It seemed pretty plain and simple: An FM translator licensed to Opp, Alabama, was to be transferred to the licensee of WAMI-AM from the seller. Then came an informal objection courtesy of Marble City Media.

That petition to deny the application was reviewed by Albert Shuldiner, the FCC’s Audio Division Chief. Guess what? Marble City’s argument was valid, and the transaction was denied. Shuldiner then moved to cancel the FM translator’s construction permit, delete its call sign and dismiss the application.
