For seven years, he served as Market Manager of the radio stations in Bakersfield formerly licensed to Alpha Media and now owned by Connoisseur Media. Before that, he spent nearly five years as iHeartMedia’s Market President in the southern San Joaquin Valley city.

Now, he’s heading north on California 99 to serve as VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Media‘s radio stations serving the Stockton and Modesto, Calif., markets.

The new role goes to Jeremy Price, who will directly oversee Country KATM-FM, Sports KESP-AM, Classic Rock KHKK-FM and simulcast partner KDJK-FM, Top 40 KHOP-FM, Adult Contemporary KJOY-FM and Hip-Hop simulcast partners KWIN-FM & KWNN-FM.

Price reports to RVP Patty Hixson, who calls Price “a very special leader and a highly effective manager who will greatly contribute to the success of the Stockton/Modesto cluster. We are pleased to welcome him aboard.”

Price, who from February 1996 through October 2000 ran a Fresno-based valet parking company, entered the radio business as a sales pro. In 2006, he was named General Sales Manager of the former CBS Radio stations in Fresno, and in February 2008 new owner Peak Broadcasting appointed him Director of Digital Sales. Concurrently, in July 2009, Price took on the GSM role for KMGV “Mega 97.9” in Fresno, today a Cumulus-owned property.

With Cumulus’ acquisition of the Peak stations, Price in November 2013 was appointed KMGV General Sales Manager, adding duties for Hot Adult Contemporary sibling KWYE “Y101.1.”

Price exited Cumulus in March 2014 for the Bakersfield role at iHeart, and nearly 12 years later he’s returning to the company. He said, “Cumulus Stockton/Modesto has long been a dominant force in the market and I am humbled to be trusted with these amazing stations.”

Outside of his day-to-day duties, Price has served as a Director on the California Broadcasting Association for over a decade and is a past recipient of Radio Ink’s coveted Radio Wayne Award for professionalism in radio.
