With Cyber Monday already eclipsing Black Friday among many consumer groups, one of the biggest e-retailers is aggressively courting customers ahead of the Thanksgiving Day festivities.

And, it is using radio commercials to help bring in the digital sales, the latest Media Monitors Radio Spot Ten report finds.

Amazon.com is the big new user of radio commercials, and the brand is brand-new this week, landing at No. 6 in the Spot Ten for radio thanks to the placement of 30,811 commercials at the stations Media Monitors tracks.

It’s good news for radio stations seeking a more diverse selection of advertisers.

The Home Depot remained in first place, airing 50,287 spots, while GEICO held steady in fourth place, clearing 38,588 spots.

Also actively using radio are retailers Macy’s and JCPenney.
