For years, a Class C3 FM serving the Lexington, Ky., listening area has been operated via the Aloha Station Trust II — today administered by Barry Drake, formerly of Backyard Broadcasting.
It’s just been sold.
The buyer is Clarity Communications of Delray Beach, Fla., based in an apartment that is home to Charles Cohn.
And, the station is WWRW-FM, branded as “Rewind 105.5.”
Although it is not owned by the company was once Clear Channel and is now iHeartMedia, it is managed by the nation’s top radio company by station count.
This will soon change, as Clarity is gaining Rewind for $340,000.
A 10% escrow deposit has been made to the trust.
