The company announced 8/8 that their platform will officially launch in Miami on September 2nd, in Houston on September 16th and in Dallas on September 23rd. Consumers in Miami, Houston and Dallas will now be able to access free over-the-air television channels with a cloud-based DVR via supported mobile devices.
The streaming local broadcast DVR service, which continues to fight legal battles with the networks it provides, currently operates across all of New York City, Boston and Atlanta. Aereo is also coming to Chicago on September 13th. As with the other markets, Aereo’s offering a free month of service to potential new customers.
