AEI: ‘The Government Shouldn’t License Speech’

“There are many reasons that the Federal Communications Commission has outlived its usefulness.” That attention-grabbing statement comes from Mark Jamison, the nonresident senior fellow at Washington, D.C. think tank American Enterprise Institute who also serves as Director of the Public Utility Research Center at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business.


Yet, for Jamison, one is especially clear today: “Its power to license broadcasters gives government officials leverage over speech.”
