Bridge Ratings President/CEO Dave Van Dyke believes the management shakeup at Cumulus is a first step in reviving the company.
But he asks whether Cumulus is capable of “getting back some of its mojo.”
When it bought Citadel stations, Cumulus inherited many facilities that were first in their category, however many of those have “atrophied” and given away their positions, according to Van Dyke.
“The uphill battle for Cumulus is restoring a positive perception for their stations that have lost their position in the minds of listeners,” says the Bridge Ratings executive.
