Johnette Cochran cut her teeth at a Shreveport, La., radio station group then-owned by the company operated by Chesley Maddox-Dorsey.

Today, she’s in Eastern Maryland, and has just been upped to VP/GM of the Adams Radio Group stations serving the Salisbury-Ocean City area.

It’s a promotion from Director of Sales, a post Cochran has held since December 2019.

“Johnette has done an amazing job for us, and in the most amazing circumstances,” said Adams Radio Group CEO Ron Stone. “No one knew at the time she relocated from
Indianapolis what the country was about to endure. She walked into a market and
found herself operating as the top management person on site in the most unusual of circumstances. She has proven herself during these ‘worst of times’ to be not only a terrific sales leader but also a terrific leader in general. I could not be prouder of what she has accomplished in the past six months and cannot wait to see the results as she is now fully unleashed.”

Cochran’s radio career began in 2004 at Access.1 Communications, in Shreveport, La.

She later worked for stations owned and operated by Townsquare Media, Alpha Media, and Guaranty Media, the later company of which is based in Baton Rouge.
