ABC's repeat 'Wipeout' solid in adults 18-34

ABC was up week to week in Total Viewers and across all key Men demos (M18-34/M18-49/M25-54).


From 8-9pm, ABC’s repeat Wipeout defeated the series debut of NBC’s It’s Worth What? by 8% in Adults 18-34 and by 50% in Men 18-34. The ABC series was also the top-rated broadcast show in the hour with Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11.

Wipeout built from the prior week’s repeat by 8% in Adults 18-34 and by 20% in Men 18-34, marking the series’ best repeat numbers in the hour this summer. In addition, Wipeout equaled its 2nd-best numbers in the hour this summer in Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11.

Opposite the first hour of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and Fox’s MasterChef at 9 o’clock, 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show grew week to week by 4% in Total Viewers and 8% in Adults 18-34. The show also built over the prior week by 13% in Kids 2-11 to hit a series high.

101 Ways to Leave a Game Show substantially improved its time period for ABC, topping an original airing of the gamer Downfall on the same night last summer (7/20/10) by 1.6 million viewers and by 36% in Adults 18-49.

At 10pm, up against the second hour of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, ABC’s Combat Hospital grew its overall viewer audience week to week and also grew its hour year to year by 27% in overall viewers, bettering original programming on the same night last year (Primetime: Family Secrets).
