It’s a tiny Southern Gospel AM radio station serving a community in Kentucky to the northeast of Clarksville, Tenn. Pending FCC approval, it will soon be operated under new ownership.
WEKT-AM 1070 in Elkton, Ky., with 500 watts during the day and 18 watts at night from 1 tower, is being sold to Ham Broadcasting Company by M&R Broadcasting.
A $70,500 purchase price has been agreed upon by the parties.
The buyer is led by President Beth Mann and is located in Cadiz, Ky. The seller is led by Brian Sidebottom.
What does this mean to “Heavenly 1070”? The future of the station is now up to the team at WKDZ-FM 106.5 in Cadiz, which will now be a sibling to WEKT.
